Totally a personal opinion but wanted to share some great rubs. I’ve been very impressed with Spiceology (a little pricy but worth it.) I have had SO MANY rubs that are way too salty to get anything but that from the flavor. I can sprinkle the hell out of these and get the actual spice flavors rather than overwhelming salt with a hint of seasonings. Just thought I would throw this out there for anyone looking for a good rub brand.

Kinder has been putting out some good stuff lately.
I love me some Meat Church.
I’m a Meat Church man.
I see so many folks say “make your own”. That’s fine if you have something simple or something very specific you know you like. I enjoy the nuances in the recipes from the guys who are making these rubs for a living. I’m ok being sold “flavored salt” for $10/bottle.
To actually answer your question, I’ve rarely tried anything from Meat Church or Heath Riles that wasn’t good. I used to be a Killer Hogs fan, I just like that the others have more unique offerings.
I like killer hogs rubs too. Malcolm does a good job with his stuff. Their THE BBQ RUB is probably one of if not my favorites on pork butts. Plowboys too.
I like it simple. Even mix of salt, pepper and paprika for brisket, smoke with mesquite only. Pork butt, ribs I’ll use a simple season salt but i add a bit of ground cloves.
Southern Soul Dust
Usually meat church but the traeger prime rib rub has been my go to for beef lately.
I buy bulk and make my own. Typically from My Spice Sage.
Homemade
Spice and Tea Exchange’s Backwoods Hickory
I use kinder, spiceology and kosmos.
Spiceology is my go to
Kinder is easier to get
Kosmos is good all purpose.
Have used Meat Church and have made my own the last few years but recently picked up Killer Hogs The BBQ Rub. It’s amazing on ribs!

thats where i get my stuff from, their black truffle steak crust is insane
Sucklebusters SPG or chicken rub are my go to’s. They make me sneeze 3-4 times any time I open one though.
I randomly found Spiceologys Nashville Hot at Costco last night, excited to try
For the most part I make my own, but there’s something about Fire & Smoke Society’s Thundering Longhorn rub that I really love on my burgers. Hands down takes a normal pub burger from a 10 to an 11.
Fiesta seasoning salt + black pepper is my base for almost everything I smoke and grill. I’ll throw some garlic, brown sugar, or anything else I’m feeling depending on what I’m cooking, but it almost always starts with those two.
Generally I make my own because it’s cheaper than buying premixed but I always have a few bottles of kinders salt, pepper, and garlic blend on hand. It’s a bit heavy on the salt for every day use but makes a great simple rub for long smokes that I plan to make a sauce for.
Kosmos Q
I’ve only had two from Lootnbooty but both were amazing.
Kirkland
Malcom Reed’s stuff. I really like his Vinegar bbq sauce, too. The hot sauce is nice if you have a low tolerance for hot sauce.
I don’t like Kinders. Something always tastes off when I use them (not just their bbq stuff) but I think I’m alone on that.
I love kinders buttery steakhouse for any beef at the moment
Try the Spiceology Tennessee Smoke! Delicious!!
