usually i do more or less like this:
600 g red meat (thinly sliced)
500 g tomato sauce
600 g sliced potatoes (optional)
1/2 white onion (or a shallot)
1 clove garlic
fresh basil (optional)
extra virgin olive oil
salt and lots of oregano
