Looks pretty good!! I’ve only done it once and it was a winner for sure. Tacos with the leftovers!!

Looks delicious, but make sure to change how you cut when the grain direction changes.

I’ve lived in Florida for a long time. Never ever can I find whole tri-tip.

Only had my pellet smoker for a month and just did my first tri tip. I messed up and got busy helping around the house so I missed pulling it off at 120-125. Pulled it off at 135 then sear it on the grill. Came out a solid medium with great flavor and a perfect smoke ring. Family loved it, especially my 5 year old but I’m my own worse critic.

Oh well, lessons learned for next time.

Isn’t it great? It’s not the amount of effort or cost as Brisket. But you can still get smokiness. But also has the flavor of steak. But less expensive. Tri-Tip is amazing.

Oh yeah! Well, how about you smoke a whole carton of tri tip!

Yup, Tri tip is my new favorite meat. A lot less fat than brisket and tastes great medium rare, and cheaper too!

I’ve really enjoyed the Santa Maria rub on tri tips but I’d love to know what other rubs yall are doing?
