i think i found my favorite appetizer at boonies in north center – the sizzling sisig.
it’s essentially a pork hash with this special sauce drizzled over it and a fresh egg on top that is then cooked as the staff mixes it into the hash.

Love this. I will have to try. This is my Favorite thing to get at Bayan Ko Diner.
Man, I miss them so much now that they’re no longer in the Revival Food Hall. I had plans on ordering this during lunch last week for pickup but it doesn’t seem like it comes with the garlic white rice and pickled papaya anymore.
left over sisig fried rice the next day is even better! thank me later!
Can you give me a location?
This sisig is SO delicious. Honestly, everything at Boonie’s is killer! You really can’t go wrong no matter what you order.
Damn that looks fire and sounds amazing.
This made me fart more than I have ever farted in my life, but I still loved it and will be back to Boonies soon. Everything on that menu is killer.
Sunda used to have a sisig on their menu made with pork, duck and foie gras, it was a must have whenever we went
If you were to ask me what the #1 dish I had last year, its this. And its top 3 of any single menu item in the city for me all-time.
Boonies is one of the few places I tried, and returned to multiple times within the year. It has been 10/10 each time, with food that is unique and delicious.
..my only thing here is that I didn’t think this was an appetizer haha.
This is a great dish!
Brings me back to my trip to the Philippines, getting hammered at the karaoke place, chowing down some sisig lol
That’s sisig!
That’s not an appetizer that’s pulutan!
Uh in what world is sisig an appetizer? That is at least a meal considering how heavy it is.
But yes, this is the best thing at Boonie’s.

🇵🇭 during Winter months. Enjoyed a sizzling sisig at Aling Lucing (San Fernando Pampanga) last week….and an icy cold San Miggy.
