I get that not everybody does it the same, but this literally inspired me to go buy and cook a brisket this weekend just to atone for this cow being dishonored.

I’m not just being a hypercritical asshole am I? Like, this objectively doesn’t look like a brisket that was done well.
Current-Moment-4307
More like fresh out of the microwave.
Spiritual-Rip-6248
Overcooked and somehow devoid of bark?
avalanchefan91
Yeah that’s actually inexcusable. From a BBQ joint I expect bark. I don’t need to comment on anything else because the total result is obvious to anyone who’s looked at smoked meat before, much less eaten it.
CreekBeaterFishing
Supply should last a while…
PracticalBarbarian
Microwave brisket?
Schn31ds
My thoughts. Supplies will last.

I’m guessing they didn’t throw enough wood in the Southern Pride, and cooked too low. Yes, there’s such a thing as too low and slow, and it shows in poor bark development like this.
HereComesJustice
Laugh, keep scrolling then think about how all these bbq joints are robbing people. But hey if people want to buy it who am I to tell them otherwise.
Then think about the next time I’m gonna smoke brisket for myself
ezmo1432
Honestly looks roasted rather than smoked with unrendered fat. Someone needs to have a chat with the first about smoking, and second about marketing.
santanzchild
well the prices seem to fit the quality.
minedigger
This is what I imagine people who are on this sub complaining about 30USD/# brisket are eating.
Inevitable-Drag-1704
A lot of bbq restaurants aren’t amazing, they are just mass producing with low effort. Its part of why i started smoking.
People will eat it.
Deacon75
Do they call their kitchen oven “The Smoker?” I had a dog named Speedy, but he was kind of fat and slow.
justincase247365
Nobody’s asking for directions to this place?
RiperSn1fle
Drop your address, the police will be there shortly.
Accomplished-Ebb2549
Looks like they put it in oven or if they put it in some sort of smoker it was a heat source only and no wood.
OriginalOk8371
I would not eat there
Foals_Forever
If this is just oven roasted brisket meant for more of a Sunday roast situation then it’s fine. If it’s bbq then not a fucking chance and I’m not paying 19.99 a lb either way.

the reviews are okay though some hate the chocolate pie
Excellent 4 Very Good 5 Average 1 Poor 1 Terrible 3
Overall 6.8/10
maybe someone can know what smoker they use from the photo of the food inside the unit with the two racks
Example:
We have been here 3 times the past 2 months. One time they were closed because they ran out of BBQ. The other two times were both very good! We have had the sampler, ribs, wings and nachos! The ribs are excellent! The wings were excellent as well. We were not fans of the brisket or pulled pork but the loaded nachos were excellent as well. I tried the peanut butter dessert and it was just ok. We will stop and eat here again on our next trip!

That is a really nice roast.
RlCKR0llD
Looks like it was boiled lol..
Davadam27
Who wants brisket “fresh out of the smoker” anyways. Shit should rest at least an hour
ZootTX
No bark Poor trim Fat unrendered No smoke ring
Gonna be a chewy, tough, disaster.
Extension-Jacket5499
Looks like slabs of leather .
Reminds me of a food truck festival in Detroit, this rig had stickers and signs saying “best Detroit style BBQ”. “Voted best ”
Was inedible.

Nope!
bassocontinubow
I would let the supply last…
sarcastic_guy1
Finally a brisket that make my sad attempts look decent!
dreamatoriumx
Fresh from the smoker? This at most is a oven cooked with liquid smoke in the marinade.
jaeway
Chop it up throw it in a sandwich
PeZandPeZ
I feel like all of us would rather smoke our own meat than buy from restaurants with prices today
Darthmullet
The fact they feel that’s worth advertising is a red flag, I wouldn’t eat there.
PhillyChef3696
Mmmm mom’s London broil. Just missing the “not very green anymore” beans and a bottle of A1
kaweh2fresh
Looks like it was boiled and broiled lol
Latter_Geologist1929
Looks boiled
Superb_Gap_8517
No way that came off of a smoker.
Night2015
Where is the smoke ring? The bark is nonexistent except that one small strip down the center and your fat didn’t render all the way maybe 5.99 a lb. for a brisket that looks like a chain restaurant smoked it.
Youthmandoss
Is this the “dishwasher method” I’ve been seeing on reels?
InsertRadnamehere
Cooked in the oven. With liquid smoke.
ominous_42
Looks rushed and definitely a lack of experience on the “pit master”
Iknownothing0321
Looks like its fresh out of the oven
