**Ingredients:**
**Donuts:**
* ½ cup (100 g) sugar
* 2 tsp (8 g) baking powder
* ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
* ½ tsp (2 g) salt
* ⅔ cup (160 ml) buttermilk *(or milk + vinegar)*
* 3 tbsp (43 g) melted butter
* 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
* 2 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
* Neutral oil for frying
**Optional toppings:**
Cinnamon sugar – 1 cup sugar + 1 tsp cinnamon
Powdered sugar – 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Vanilla glaze – 2 cups confectioners’ sugar + ⅓ cup cream + ½ tsp vanilla
Chocolate glaze – 4 oz chocolate + 2 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp syrup + 2 tbsp cream
