Ingredients:
14.1oz (400g) Strawberries, fresh or frozen
2¼ tablespoons (32g) Chia seeds
1 tablespoon Lemon/lime juice
2 tablespoons Honey/maple syrup (optional)

Directions:
1. Prep the Strawberries: wash the strawberries, cut the stems, then chop them into small pieces.
2. Cook the strawberries: In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the strawberries, 1-2 tablespoons of water. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start breaking down and release their juices. Use a fork or potato masher to mash the berries to your desired consistency.
3. Add the maple, and lemon juice and simmer for another 2 minutes.
4. Add Chia Seeds: turn the heat off and stir in chia seeds.
5. Cool & Store: Remove from heat and let it sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken further. The jam will continue to set as it cools.
o If you prefer a smoother texture, blend the jam using an immersion blender.
o Transfer to a clean jar and store in the fridge for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 3 months.
Notes:
• The sweetener is optional, you can use any sweetener that you like and adjust the quantity to your taste.

  2. Very easy 👍-will make. I have frozen strawberries from my garden 🌱 Those strawberry tops u cut off are packed full of nutrition. U can eat them as is or dehydrate them and add to tea or tea mixes/blends. Try it U will like it! Thanks for the recipe🌹🇺🇸🌹
