Iโve been trying to make more things from scratch ever since my schedule became more flexible compared to when I was a chef. Here are a few simple homemade staples I prepare (each takes only 5-10 minutes, plus resting or cooking time):

โข Vegan mayo โ Every week
โข Jams โ 3-4 times a year
โข Energy balls โ Every two weeks or whenever we feel like it
โข Plant-based milk (usually hemp or cashew, sometimes rice) โ Every week (but I also buy soy milk)
โข Bagels โ Every Saturday
โข Sourdough bread โ Sometimes twice a week, then not at all for a month ๐
โข Lacto-fermented pickles & carrots โ Once a year, in season
โข Tomato sauces โ Once a year, in season (I donโt have a big enough garden yet to last all year, so I also buy some)
โข Cashew & soy yogurt โ Occasionally, depending on my cravings
