I have a GMG smoker and want to expand it with a sear grill.
Will this electrical sear plate do the job to sear a 1-2 inch thick steak?
It's a 3Kw 2 zone cast grill.

In theory it should work. With load of 1500 max you should be able to reach well above sear temp. Now I’m no expert. But it maths out.
