Good luck with the baker creek tomato’s. Never have had a healthy tomato plant grow from their seed, always a headache.
You’re gonna love the sart roloise! They’re one of my favorites, by far! My husband also loves the black strawberry. The trick with those is to really let them fully ripen. It can be hard to tell, and if you pick them too early they’re not great.
You should report back on how they go. I have moved away from the exotic cherry, indigo, and striped slicers. I personally don’t think they taste as good as several of the more mundane varieties, although they look cook for sure. I do know that folks rave about a lot of these, so it may just be they don’t do great in my are.
What an amazing variety
Out of these I’ve grown Pork Chop, delicious and a nice performer!
Brad’s Atomic Grape, VERY tasty as long as well ripened.
Mortgage Lifter, one of our favorites! Super good and grows well here.
Growing rebel and Lillian’s as well, quite excited!
I’ve tried some of the purple varieties in the past few years and I’ve found that they take a lot longer to mature than others!
Brad’s Atomic Grape was an anemic plant that never thrived though it did produce some fruit.
I’m currently growing the Rebel Starfighter (but from a different seed company – Heirloom Seedhouse) and they’re a bit like Spoon tomatoes if you’ve grown those – spindly half dead plants. They may or may not make it to a garden bed but they’re hanging in there.
I won’t ever buy from Baker Creek again but I do still have seeds left from them that I’ll work through.
I’m trying the atomic grape this year, too. Just chaotic seeded a few pots and a section of garden lol
