It's been pissing down rain for days where I live in NSW, Australia. It's expected to continue for a good while. It got me thinking, is it worth collecting and using on my indoor plants & Reapers? How beneficial would watering with it really be? Or would it be worth even filling up my self watering bases with rain water? Thanks. 🌱

Rain water is much better than tap water. I believe it has nitrogen and other goodies that it can provide vs tap water. I remember reading something like that.
Look into a food-grade drum for storage to collect rainwater if possible, like a 200litre blue plastic drum.
Depends on your tap water. Some tap water is really good, some is really not. Hard water or even treated hard water can leave mineral deposits over time.
So while rain water tends to be better, if it’s worth the hassle is another story. It might not actually be that much better.
I have used a combo of rain water and fish aquarium water. When I run out of rain water I use water from my fish tank when I clean it out.
Natural is always better than artificial
I can only use rainwater or RO water as my tap water is too high of PPM.
I’m in Adelaide and the tap water is rammed with Calcium which inhibits the phosphorous making the plants deficient.
If your Tap water is above 30ppm your plants will benefit from rain water.
My mother would tell you rain water is much better than tap water.
