The first pic is called a helmut head. Soemtimes they grow out of it but sometimes it harms the seedling and it doesn’t make it. You can try to gently twist the seed shell off. It’s up to you.

For helmet heads, Iβve had some success with very gently squeezing the seed hull βcrosswiseβ, ie in line with the way the leaf are stuck in it. Then keep it moist by putting a tiny drop of water on it, and cover the pot with plastic to keep it humid for a day or two.
