It’s kinda like a Korean Twizzler. Kinda plastic-y but yes, definitely better when you heat it over the stove. I just take some tongs and hold it over the flame on the stove to toast it a bit.

I’ve popped them in the airfryer as well, at 360 degs for like 6 minutes. I prefer mine cooked than raw, but either way is fine

Technically speaking, you can eat anything raw, but some things raw might kill you.
I was reading that some foods like oysters, are better eaten raw and alive because it’s the dead oysters that been stored improperly that grow harmful bacteria that makes you sick. So evidently, raw food is sometimes safer. No clue if that’s true though, but it seems like it might be.
However, this can be safely be eaten raw or lightly toasted which is what I prefer.
