I love using tiny onions in Japanese curry 🥰 they stay whole better than big onion chunks

They are onion “sets”. You plant them to grow onions.

    Use 50% for a dish

    10 % for a salad

    15% for pickled onions

Plant the rest for green goodness

Make some Ulli theeyal- a south Indian dish – this is specifically made with smaller onions or shallots. Or make some sambar and add these whole onions and enjoy the sambar with rice!

Pickle half and plant half. Toss the ones you want to eat in boiling water for about 30 seconds then immediately put into ice water to stop em cooking. You should be able to squeeze the skin and have the onion pop out. You can then use em all kinds of ways (except for planting). I love em as creamed onions but with just a handful of probably pickle them and use them in Gibsons.

beef bourguignon with a bunch of those onions. They soak up the beef flavors.
