When you’re in need of a Chili’s copycat and you just don’t have the time. Just blend these together. La Mexicana gives it the freshness (refrigerated section) and Mateo’s brings the cumin and slight heat.

Just give it a shot. Dont ban me guys 😅

Be honest, they either taste like vinegar, too much cumin, and always of too much salt

They can’t help it, shelf life trumps flavor. If it has to be store bought might as well stick with Pace at the middle of the road

Not sure about the cantina style, but I tried the basic hot red salsa from La Mexicana and it was disgusting to a surprising degree. Bizzare consistency, way too much oregano, and weirdly sweet in a cloying way.

  3. I haven’t had chilis salsa in years but I don’t recall it being any good. Is it better now?

I don’t know of its available outside Mexico, but my quick fix is their canned salsa roja with a chopped serrano mixed in. Goes well with eggs. It’s like 15 pesos altogether.
