Picked this up last night. Could not resist a $20 champs. Easily the cheapest one I’ve ever seen. We’re going to try it in the next few days. If it’s awesome then going back to buy a case of it before tariffs! 🤣

I know someone in here has had this before. What’s your thoughts?

It’s… Fine. Great for $20. Nothing to write home about. My go-to for a French 75.

Nice to drink when I’m watching TV and eating yummy food. Not something I’d have at a party.

Best champagne you will find for $20, imo. However, I also think you can find better Cavas for the same or less.

I feel like it used to be better but it’s still great value for $20. it’s not like you can get any other champagne in that price range.

It’s a very good traditional method wine for the price. It’s a good Champagne for the price.

I recommend buying Roederer Estate for $3 more (also at Costco).

  7. It’s really very good, and at that price, unbeatable.

I always keep a couple cases of it in my cellar. Sure its not a great Champagne but I have thrown it into several Champagne blind tastings and it has always almost universally beaten Veuve, Moet, Mumm, Laurent-Perrier, etc. at what is now almost a 1/3 of the cost.

I would argue that the KS Champagne is one of the best values in the wine world.

I have a different opinion from many here but I hope you enjoy it!!

For $20, you can’t really beat it. We always keep a 2-3 bottles in the fridge. Great for entertaining, especially with people who don’t know a lot about Champagne. Also excellent for mimosas and other Champagne cocktails.

Also, given the low price, it’s what I consider to be a low stakes bottle. You can open one up and have 2 glasses without worrying about feeling like you’re wasting anything.

My go to sub $20 bubbly is Gruet from New Mexico. It punches way above its weight class

  12. We always have a few of these in the cellar because we can open them with zero guilt (including using them for cocktails, or drinking from plastic cups, or just having on a random weeknight when we don’t want to do anything fancier). I consider Billecart Salmon our true “house” Champagne, and Krug our go-to fancy Champagne, but Kirkland fills an important spot in the lineup.
