One dessert chain is hoping you say “oui” to a sweet treat.
On July 15, Krispy Kreme announced it’s honoring the upcoming Paris Olympics by debuting its latest collection inspired by iconic French desserts.
Dubbed the Passport to Paris Collection, the three new doughnut flavors ensure a taste of Parisian culinary magnificence for us all without having to take a flight across the ocean.
The treats are now available for a limited time at participating locations, and the brand says it wants to provide fans with a taste of the city as they cheer on America’s best athletes competing in the upcoming games.
Here’s what’s on the menu:
Crème Brûlée Doughnut: An unglazed shell doughnut filled with creme brulee Kreme filling, dipped in creme brulee caramel icing and topped with caramelized sugar crunch.Double Chocolate Éclair Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with chocolate custard Kreme filling, dipped in chocolate icing and topped with chocolate crisp pearls. Raspberry & Vanilla Crème Doughnut: An Original Glazed doughnut dipped in raspberry icing and cookie pieces and finished with a dollop of vanilla Kreme. In addition to the doughnuts, customers also can try a new Crème Brûlée Latte featuring creme brulee flavors. The limited-time coffee is topped with whipped cream and caramelized sugar crunch, and can be served hot, iced or frozen.
“Most people can’t be in Paris to cheer on their country’s team,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme’s global chief brand officer, said in a press release. “So, we’re giving you a ‘Passport to Paris’ in the form of delicious doughnuts with Parisian dessert flavors.”
Customers can place their orders in-shop, or schedule pickup or delivery via Krispy Kreme’s app and website. Folks can also score the collection in a six-pack, which are delivered fresh daily to select retailers — check online via the company’s search tool to find a shop or grocer near you.
