I got this plant from Home Depot today, it is a Miracle Gro Brilliant Blooms big beef tomato plant. I got it cause it was 5 bucks and not a huge loss if nothing happens.

I didn’t add any plant food or anything to it yet didn’t want to shock it that fast, but I do have some.

Any tips, tricks or suggestions for this guy, & does my repotting look okay? 🍅❤️

Looks good. I’d clean up the bottom of the plant. Tomatoe leaves don’t like touching soil. As it gets bigger discard and parts that hang down and touch the soil.

Try to water consistently. Tomatoes have some issues with bad water schedules and it can lead to blossom end rot. This can also be caused by lack of calcium but is most often from watering problems. I suggest finding a good gardening youtube video on tomatoe watering.

    Remember, have fun!

I’m not someone who has much tomato growing experience, just some. But I found tomato plants to be relatively maintenance free and easy-going. Maintenance free minus the occasional trimming or tie-up and obviously making sure there’s water.

    Best of luck!
