I bought a used Traeger Lil Tex Elite for $50 on Craigslist. It was working but very dirty and rusty condition. I cleaned it up and replaced the drip pan and the heat diffuser. I prep and painted it and now I am ready to do my first cook. Trying to decide what to cook the first time. Probably ribs.

Hey! It looks like you posted an image!
If this is a photo of one of your cooks, maybe share the recipe and techniques
used, as it’s almost guaranteed one of the first questions you will be asked!
*What seasoning did you use?
*How long did you cook it, and at what temperature?
*Did you use any special tricks or techniques?
Traeger on!

Do a brisket or flank steak!
Ribs are always a good choice!
Pork butt 110%. Long enough cook to learn something about the grill, easy enough not to ruin the meal
Beef ribs are my all time favorite. Hit them with a good coffee rub.
That looks great! What paint did you use to paint the lid? I have an old Traeger I’m trying to fix up too.
I used the Rustoleum High Temp Semi Gloss Aged Copper paint.
