40 minutes at 250 on the pellet grill

I think the video made the inside look a little purple when in person it’s not at all, came out kinda between medium rare and medium.

So good I ate all but one of them plain.

They look yummy and I would def eat them myself but if that’s close to medium, I’m close to a T-Rex lol

  3. I like rare to medium rare steak, but those look raw in the middle. That’s underdone for ground meat

Looks good, when are you going to cook it?

Love blue steaks. But you can’t eat ground beef like that. Good luck OP!

  6. Phill_is_Legend

I’m all for a rare steak, but dude that’s ground beef, you gotta go medium at least.

OP, they are ripping you apart in the comments. This is why I love this community

This has to be click bait. That meat is raw and no it’s not the camera making the separation and texture of raw meat.

Mmmm. Medium rare hamburger. Nothing says tasty like ecoli.

  10. Flooded_Strand

Gotta hit ground beef a little longer than that

  11. Cooked burger does not stretch like that my dude. No matter what you take this video with, you are eating raw meat.

I’ve been wanting to try cold smoking, just not with beef

  13. MrMunchkin

No, dude, that is RAW. There is no way it’s not raw without breaking the laws of physics or your smoker temp being broken.

If you cook ground beef at 250 degrees, to cook a 1/2 inch beef patty will take at LEAST 45 minutes.

If you’re cooking a 1 inch beef patty, it will take around 90 minutes.

Those hunks of ground beef you have there look to be nearly 4 inches, which means cooking it at 250 degrees is going to take a minimum of 2 hours.

Do yourself a favor before you end up in the hospital or die and get yourself a quality meat thermometer.

Seriously. Just because it doesn’t kill you the first or 100th time, it’s like playing Russian roulette.

Besides all the normal criticism about it looking too rare, IMO you’re just missing our cooking prime rib ground like this. It’s super fatty and full of tallow, I find with my ribeyes ect I like it a bit over medium to give the fat a real chance to render and give that awesome flavor, without losing moisture. But hey if you like it like that, more power to you.

Tartare de boeuf! Nice- haven’t had this since Paris!

  16. Striking-Bell5460

You savage, have you ever cooked before?

  17. McNasty51

That meat isn’t raw, its prime rib. Good job.
