Greek Pie “Galaktoboureko” ☕️

Ingredients:
– 10 sheets of phyllo dough (250g)
– 120g melted butter

For the filling:
– 500ml milk
– 40g semolina
– 50g sugar
– 2 tbsp cocoa powder
– 1 tsp vanilla sugar
– 50g dark chocolate
– 30g butter

For the syrup:
– 150g sugar
– 120ml water
– 1 tsp lemon juice

Instructions:

1. Prepare the custard:
– Bring milk to a boil, add semolina, sugar, and vanilla sugar. Cook until thickened (5-7 min).
– Remove from heat, stir in chocolate and butter.

2. Assemble the pie:
– Layer 5 sheets of phyllo in a baking dish, brushing each with butter.
– Pour the custard over, cover with 5 more sheets of phyllo.
– Cut into portions before baking.

3. Bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes.

4. Prepare the syrup (boil for 5 min) and pour over the hot pie.
Let it soak for a few hours or overnight.
