After a year and a half of cooking for myself, I’ve finally started to enjoy the process. At first I absolutely hated it. Everything I made was bland, depressing, and took ages. But with practice, gradual spice accumulation, and some creativity, I’ve gotten a lot better. Why did I think cooking was an innate skill that I would never have? It just takes time and effort to master, like anything else. I’m still a minimum effort maximum efficiency chef, but now I can take some pride in what I make.

Great work and I love that you’re growing to enjoy cooking! I did some meal prep today and had a moment of “wow, I really enjoy cooking”, so I understand completely! What all did you make?
Bolognese sauce: [https://www.spendwithpennies.com/homemade-bolognese-sauce/#wprm-recipe-container-165788](https://www.spendwithpennies.com/homemade-bolognese-sauce/#wprm-recipe-container-165788)
Chinese broccoli with oil, garlic, and bachans sauce
Lemon pepper chicken: chicken thighs marinated with oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, pepper, and half an onion then baked.
Do then make pasta to go with the bolognese? Like these seem useful yet not full meals?
