They came out amazing! So tender, so flavorful. Best thing I have ever cooked. (I don’t cook much). I’ll definitely make these again. Now I’m thinking what my next Crockpot recipe will be.
I love carnitas! I’ve never made them myself, but I love pork shoulder roasts in general.
I’m a big fan of a modified version of the Mississippi pot roast if you like stuff like that. Here’s how I make it because it differs from online recipes. ~3lb chuck roast; 1.5 packets of au jus; 1 packet of ranch seasoning; mushrooms (fresh/canned/frozen); onion (fresh or frozen diced); mined garlic; 1.5 cups water.
Put the roast in the crockpot. Top it with the mushrooms, garlic, and onions. Mix the au jus and ranch in the water and then pour it on the roast. Cook on low for about 8 hours or high for 4-5.
It is perfect for French dip sandwiches and tacos for a few days too.
