The sell by date is a week and a half ago. I bought them from Costco and it’s been in the refrigerator ever since. I kinda forgot about it and now don’t want to throw away if it is any good.

Vacuum sealed. Should be fine. Just give it a sniff to be sure.

Vacuum packed I’ll smell test it. It *should* be fine as long as it isn’t sour or the package is bloated.

Just be sure to give it some air after unpacking. It’s going to smell like troll fart for a bit, they always do. Then give it the smell test.

If your fridge is very cold they’ll last at least a month after the sell by date. That vac seal is no joke

I like to do some pork. Not a big fan of lamb. But it’s a good chunk of meat.

Sell by date is a guide to “sell by” not use by. It’s usually saying more so it’s freshest but not that after that date it’s bad. It really depends on how the meat was handled and how cold your fridge is. That said, it’s not like it’s on a foam board wrapped in plastic wrap like at a grocery store, this is vacuum packed which helps it last much longer. I’d open it, smell it. If it smells funky or the texture seems off toss it, otherwise you’re fine.

Nope. Throw away. If you are so scared to eat meat, you should just buy it and throw it away. Or you can cook and eat it you coward.
