I've been really impressed with how far NA beer has come in the past few years, and was hoping perhaps the same was true of wine. Sadly, it is not. Maybe in the future…

Tasting notes:
Aromas of dog poop and dirt. Flavorless with a hint of sweetness and a vinegar finish. The aroma lingers even after you've poured it down the sink….

  1. Ouch!! Thanks for the report!! The best I’ve had so far is the Leitz Non-alcoholic sparkling

De-alcoholised wine is one of the least enjoyable things a sober person could choose to drink.

I don’t think NA wines will ever get there. Even low-alcohol wines – dealcoholized down to 9% – still taste thin and lifeless.

Getting down to zero is a pipe dream.

Just drink grape juice and forget about it

The thing is, non-alcoholic beer only has to replace 5% of the product. Non-alcoholic wine has to find a way to replace 15% of the product…

Look at NA sparkling wines, there are some good examples that are **miles** ahead of still NA wines. Spring in a Bottle from Wolffer Estate is the best I’ve ever had—it’s the only NA wine I’ve tasted that I would drink on its own merit. It’s delicious.

You know what, there’s plenty of stuff to drink if you don’t want alcohol and I wouldn’t pick the Zero/NA stuff. My go to is….WATER! I drink a gallon a day. I buy 7-10 fresh lemons a week. On the daily I chop one in two halves, give a good squeeze and maybe a dash of sugar and I’m good to go!

NA sparkling is the way to go imho. NA still wine was never good when I had it. NA sparkling was.

Give sparkling wine a try. I’ve had some sparkling NA wines that taste… Not *great,* but they’re on par with cheap Cava. Like, I would sooner drink a decent NA sparkling wine than Cook’s.

I’ve tried alcohol free spirits and wine…both fucking suck hard core. I like shitty beer with lime and salt, been enjoying Ultra 0.0, Heineken 0.0 was too sweet for me.

  11. So on point with the tastings notes ; grape juice or any fruit juice would have a far better rating on vivino than this 0% alc thing, even water would score better.

But heck, there’s a market for this stuff too, I once saw such chardonnay bottle for about 27$ I just said to myself what the actual fk is this ?
Could get myself an entry level Meursault for just a few bucks more!
