Popped in to Zupan Market (PDX) and was shook, what are you taking home?
I grabbed some Violin but going back for a White Walnut Chardonnay, Brick House Select PN, and some Laisse Tomber rouge.

Laisse Tomber for sure, but don’t underestimate Arnaud Lambert’s wines.. wicked good value. Cathiard, Morgen Long and Seven Springs too.

(Fellow PDXer) Even if they were selling at 50% off I wouldn’t go in there bc I’d blow all the savings on $15 hummus and other high-priced stuff.
That being said, 20% off French wines next week, count me in.

Kelley Fox, Mirabai is a really good wine.

Alzinger looks yummy.

Hamacher & Soter for local stuff.
The prices for the French selection are ridiculously high, IMO. $22 for Debouef Nouveau??
I’d snag that magnum of AIX rose for $50 and drink the whole thing through a straw on a float in my pool.

Honestly, the price is very correct for “Tuffe de Château du Hurreau” it is a classic cabernet franc, but very good and very representative of what Saumur Champigny does; Domaine de la Renière also really good in red and white; if I had a little more budget , I would go to Marcel Deiss, Gaia from Bretaudeau, or Laisse Tomber

It’s weird bc some of the French wine has cheap pricing (Drouhin Burg) vs some of it being overpriced (Marc Bredif Chinon is more that $10 over what I see in my local store).

Rose Rock, Patricia Green, Flaneur, Resonance, Gran Moraine….rockin’ shelf set there. Always good to see a solid buyer on staff.

Les freres mignon is an awesome cult producer for champagne, amazing stuff

St Innocent – $76.? Ouch

You were “shook” seeing this much wine available in a major city; not trying to be to snarky here, but why the exaggerated language? You’re a hour from the Willamette Valley. The prices aren’t even that great.

Photo #4 Gaia Muscadet. Hard to find. Great wine! Also, Shea Shea Vineyard for $52 seems pretty good!

Didnt want to go down to the cellar?

A lot of great stuff but nothing insane price wise that I’m noticing. The Nicolas Jay is a great bottle if you wanna spend a bit more on Pinot. Patty Green always slaps
viktrololo
If the price was good on the Sylvan Cathiard or Fréderic Savart I would take all of them.

Is this the one in NW?

Echoing the Roserock, evening landings, patty green of course, and throwing in that Big Salt from Ovum Wines. Couple chilled bottles of that in the summer and you’re cruisin
