    Well, I’ve definitely grated a raw onion and it’s a nightmare, so considering I need to do that soon for meatballs I’m going to use your wisdom and freeze it first. Thanks for the tip XD

    Naw I just put it in a food processor. Or blender. But very cleaver.

  10. I love grated onion in many things, especially mac salad and “tuna” salad, but I’ve always grated it raw. This is a game changer!!!

    Not yet, but now I will. Should be very easy in my food processor with a shredding attachment. I assume I could do a bunch and keep frozen and use as needed.

    This is what I do when I make quiche because I have a family member that says they can’t stand onions and refuses to eat anything with onions. Surprise surprise, they absolutely love my quiche.

    Yes I grate it into a pan then add garlic, brown sugar, liquid smoke, and bourbon. Then cook it down to create a sauce. I use it on everything lol.

    Puree done …. otherwise carmelize in cane sugar … thars how my dad got me to like onions
