My husband and I spent three days over the last weekend to meal prep. We ended up with over 600 individually portioned meals. We made 13 different meals, with some of them being flexible in how they are served: fajitas/stir fry.

How much did you pay for the ingredients this is wild.

  2. An average of 46 servings per meal? Are you worried you’ll get tired of them?

This is impressive! Do you keep any fresh ingredients to throw in that maybe don’t freeze well?

  4. Nomadic_Reseacher

Wow, that’s 3 meals a day for 2 people for 100 days or ~3 months!! That’s amazing. What are the 13 meals that you planned?

How many people does this cover? Just you and your husband or are there more?

We have something called Love Fridge near me. It is a refrigerator/freezer and small alcove available to the public. People donate food components like bread loaves and bags of apple but also meal sized portions of prepared foods.I donate leftovers from Thanksgiving in reheatable containers from carry out places: turkey slices, mashed potatoes green bean casserole. You are required to have a label showing ingredients, but thats all.

People can donate and people can take food as needed. Usually there is a neighborhood person who hangs around to informally keep an eye on things, but it works well on an honor system.

Honestly I’m impressed but it seems…. excessive? What’s the reasoning for so many at a time, just to get it done with?

    Meals? **Prepped.**

Have you considered selling some of those to your neighbors?

  8. I love you so much and also can you come do this for my freezer too? 😂

  9. sylvansafekeeper

Would love to know how long this took you

Would some of this go bad before you get to eat it?

  11. Extreme-Edge-9843

This is where I’m at too, at some point you have to start eating the food!! 🤣🤣

I’m curious to hear more about your process over the three days of prepping, if you feel up for sharing more.

Is that a giant block of paneer in the last pic?? 🤩 Or is my perspective somehow off?

This is the perfect amount of meal prepping, btw.

Dude can you meal prep for me? I’m autistic and burnt out and can’t get the energy for it right now.

  16. Odd-Sail-1694

Congratulations now you never have to cook again

  17. Cacklelikeabanshee

It’s impressive and daunting at the same time.

If the apocalypse kicks off I know who I want to be friends with

  21. I can’t even imagine the level of organization it takes to do this

  22. Maverick_Steel123

I’ll do some prepping like that then the next night I’ll have a craving for takeout lol.

  23. ArachnidMean8596

Yet, all I thought to myself was, “This is the kind of person I want to be friends with.” Lol

  24. Ummmm how will you eat all
That in time ? Spoilage ??

  25. Stranger-Sojourner

Why though? I get meal prepping for a week to save some time, but at this point I don’t know how you won’t get tired of the same thing over and over and over! Won’t it get freezer burned?

  26. You wont have to cook for so long, you might forget how.

  27. TheTruthIsVague
