Hi! I am new to the gardening game but made a goal for myself to figure it out in 2025.

I planted cucumbers and tomatoes a few weeks ago and they were thriving.. but moved them outside a few days ago and the cucumbers leaves are white and the tomato plant looks sad… is there a way I can save them?

Please, any advice is wanted/needed. For my current plants and plants to come! I am determined to learn! Thank you so much 😊

They need to be slowly acclimated to the outdoors, which is called ‘hardening off’.

Currently they’re stressed out from the vast change in temperature fluctuations, wind, and light exposure.

If you can bring them in the house for a couple days while they bounce back, and then slowly transition them to being outdoors.

I’ve done the same thing, even just recently when I let my squash tan outside for the afternoon, on a very windy day. They were not pleased with me after that, but bounced back quickly.
