The biggest mistake people make with healthy eating? ⬇️
Under-flavored food!
When working with clients, one of the first things we hear is: “I want to eat healthier, but it just doesn’t taste good.”
But if you think “healthy eating” = bland, boring meals, I promise you’re missing out 🙅♀️
Healthy food should never feel like a punishment. It’s so much more than steamed broccoli and sad, dry chicken!
Here’s how to make your meals actually taste amazing:
🌿 Fresh herbs = instant flavor (+ anti-inflammatory benefits!). Want a Greek-inspired dish? Try mint, dill, and oregano. Cooking Italian? Go for basil and parsley. Need an Asian twist? Cilantro and Thai basil are your best friends.
🧂Level up your seasonings by using garlic & onion powders, paprika, and crushed red pepper.
🥑 Don’t fear healthy fats. Avocado oil, grass-fed ghee, and high-quality extra virgin olive oil carry flavor and help support hormone health.
🍋 Acidity is your best friend. A squeeze of lemon on roasted veggies or fish brightens the dish, and “living” vinegars (like Acid League) add gut-friendly probiotics plus a little tang.
🥣 And don’t forget the sauce. Because dry chicken is a crime. I keep Primal Kitchen’s teriyaki and chicken dippin’ sauce (a spot-on CFA dupe) on hand, along with hummus, pesto, or a homemade dressing to use all week.
What’s your go-to way to add flavor?
