I aimed for this board to be my opening act to starting a business. All of the logistics and permits and things terrify me and I have had an impossible time finding a kitchen to rent. Any words of encouragement, constructive criticism, or tips are greatly appreciated

  1. good luck! usually commercial kitchens that rent space (same one food trucks use at times).

prepare yourself for lots of pushback on pricing. everyone thinks they can get a fantastic board that feeds 20 for $75

Imo? Go for a food truck-style business and cater to weddings or other rich people stuff. You stand to make the most money from catering for sure. It’s rough to start any business tbh, but I did help run a food truck for a good couple of years, and I can say that you would definitely make some profit. It really depends on how much you’re willing to put in + how many people you’re paying
