The King Soopers by me had prime rib for half off. Cooked at 175 to 125 internal and then at 550 door for about 8 minutes. Served with some Chimichurri

Perfect in every way. Makes me want to hack off a 2″ piece and vanish it. Brilliantly done. Thanks so much for sharing this meal with us.

When I quickly glanced at the 1st pic, I thought it was some ridiculously dry aged beef.

That looks sooooo good. I worked at a banquet hall/supper club when I was 14-15 as a dishwasher that allowed workers to have whatever they wanted off the menu for a dollar. If you wanted a side, it was another dollar. If you didn’t have any money, that was fine too since the money just went to the employee Christmas party.
Every Friday and Saturday they did prime rib. I ate so well every Friday and Saturday night. I always got a king cut with mozzarella sticks and I envy my youthful appetite because that was something I could easily eat and then go back to work. Though one of my favorite shift meals was just a their French onion soup and a loaf of their fresh made bread when I worked during the mornings. Plus unlimited donuts.
The place was a shithole in a lot of ways. We used to have to break chicken thighs for the broasters (but they had four real industrial broasters!) and more than once we spilled the containers of broken and prepped chicken onto the floor (They were 40 gallon garbage cans on wheels, specifically for that purpose) but never once did we throw that shit away. This among other horrible food handling practices. That being said, I still ate the chicken.
But at least they always took care of their employees.
All of this being said can you come and prepare me some prime rib, please?
