The guy wanted $100, which I was willing to pay, but before I got there he discovered the ignitor didn't work for the gas assist so he dropped the price to $75. Honestly not sure I will even use the gas assist, but I can surely used my Bic ignitor if I do. Who doesn't have a few of those sitting around?

Great haul, this was my first as well! To complete it, you’ll need the bottom metal rack and charcoal bin. There was a timer (but they’re easily broken) and the charcoal scoop (it’s pretty useless). Since you have a chimney you really don’t need the charcoal baskets either. Just FYI, do not lift up using the table. The connection points will break through the composite table. I think it’s why they went to metal on subsequent models.

  2. I use the gas assist to start a chimney. If it is sparking, the tube is probably just obstructed, which is easy to take care of.

This is my model as well! I have a green one and love it. I love the metal front it looks so good too. I replaced the resin table with a metal one. They’re available to buy.

Hands down the best bbq I’ve ever owned. Keep it clean and it’ll treat you well for a very long time. FYI I still have a working original starter, and original ash sweeps.

    Great find.

I hope you were wearing a mask when you stole that. Great find!

The igniter is an incredibly easy fix, but this is a winner for sure!! Happy BBQing

Yep love the ignitor with charcoal baskets. I just had to replace mine it’s a 5 minute fix. Just make sure you get the right mode ignitor, they have a wide selection and they look similar.

I paid much more for mine and still love it almost a decade later; the igniter is cheap and easy to fix. Great find!
