RECIPE-ISH BELOW…
Protein is the new avocado toast or whatever the last mandatory food thing was…

…and Meat Bowls are the way to get it without always having to eat cottage cheese by the shovel not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I don’t actually count my protein each day because I’m far too lazy for that. I do try to prioritize it though.

Meat Bowls are my answer. Quick and easy meals that are super delicious.

Here’s my first one and there are more to come. They all follow my meat bowl formula that I reserve the right to alter as I see fit…

Quick roasted veg
Ground meat
Easy & Amazing sauce
Toppings

Meat for protein obviously and veg for fiber and vitamins. Sauce for a little extra protein and yumminess and toppings because toppings are awesome.

RECIPE-ISH:

Roasted, spiced sweet potatoes topped with spicy ground turkey, a drinkable greek yogurt tahini sauce and some herbs and onions for freshness.

Recipe-ish:
Olive oil
2 lbs ground turkey
6 cups diced sweet potatoes (unpeeled)
3/4 cup finely diced onion
2 garlic cloves, minced

Toss the sweet potatoes with a good drizzle of olive oil and season with salt, chili powder and cumin.
Roast at 425 for about 15 minutes.

Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet and add in the turkey, breaking up as it cooks, and season with about 1 1/2 tsp salt.
When it’s almost cooked add in the onion and the garlic and cook for a few more minutes to allow the onions to soften.
Stir in 1-2 Tbsp harissa paste.

Mix together 1/2 cup greek yogurt, 1/3 cup harissa paste, 1 small garlic clove (minced), 1 1/2 Tbsp honey and 1 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice. Add in a good pinch of salt and whisk well. Add in a little water to thin.

Chop up some parsley and/or cilantro and slice some green onions. Sprinkle on top and eat.
