I received this as a gift a few years ago and I love it!

Does this kind of pan use the same amount of batter?

  3. I know a lot of people love the edges, but I really prefer the middle pieces myself! Shame there’s not a way to make a pan that’s all middle for people like me lol. I’ll just have to stick to the old fashioned way of having a friend who loves the edge pieces

Took me a while to figure out why it was shaped like this. Clever.

I just made brownies, we all living the same life

This pan is the boss. It’s all I use for brownies and brookies. Anything that I want crispy. Corner pieces are the best!

This pan was in an episode of The Expanse, season 1 or 2. I guess it was supposed to be a futuristic sci-fi pan, it was used to serve lasagna though lol

Middle with ice cream, edges alone. This is the way.

  9. This is hilarious, but I love both the middles and the edges for different reasons.

Stop this pan is killing me. It’s genius

  11. I’m a middle kind of gal, but I’ll never say no to a brownie! Unless it had coconut or butterscotch in it, then ew

  12. I fucking **hate** these brownie pans.

For one thing, they’re only good for brownies. I’m with Alton Brown on the unitasker hate. Things should have multiple uses. And I’m fairly sure you have a good 9×13 pan somewhere for other things.

For another, I don’t love the corners or edges. The middle pieces have always been my favorite. With this pan, NOBODY gets a middle piece, not even the people who enjoy them, like me. There will ALWAYS be corner pieces for you. So this feels like I’m being deliberately excluded for having different taste.

Third, I don’t think the brownies bake as well. Slightly thicker slices, and uneven distribution of heat thanks to the extra walls, make the cook times of your recipe slightly inaccurate. And the worst thing you can do to a brownie is overcook it. This increases the chances of that significantly.

I know this is kind of a minor hill to die on, but I **will** die on this hill.
