I got 50 juicy af vanilla beans on Amazon and currently making 48 oz of extract, with beans left over for custards. I haven’t gone back to buying pastes and extract since.

Y’all are lucky— I’ve never seen it at Costco! I stock up on it at Homesense (TJMaxx/Marshalls offshoot in Canada) during holidays when they have it (Like $24 CAD for 4oz).

That said I love the kirkland vanilla extract. I have Nielsen-Massey and when I’m not feeling fancy, it’s what I use. It’s technically more cheapo and artificial but it is fine for the purpose of high temp baked goods.

I was so excited to try this, but was really disappointed. It contains enough sugar that it is sweet straight from the jar, and the vanilla flavor is very weak compared to extract.

So if a recipe calls for a teaspoon of vanilla extract, how much paste do you use? Also, do you need to mix it with a liquid before adding it? Like how do you use it?

Just checked my Costco and it’s only available online and it’s a 8oz bottle for $23 and that’s with $6 off.

But you know, I love this stuff and for that price….ill stock up!

I bought a bottle back in November for holiday baking and it lasted me the entire season and then some! Just got another one-honestly I may get a few next time I go to Costco and just stock up on them. Lasts a while and it’s just SUCH a great product 🤤

What location? Mine is only showing an 8 oz for 23.99, but I’ve only checked online not in store
