Is this a pasillo ancho pepper? Any recommendations on when to harvest it for seeds and to try out?

Pasilla and ancho are two different types of pepper, and refer to the dried versions. An ancho is a dried poblano, and a pasilla is a dried chilaca pepper. This picture doesn’t look like either of those pepper varieties.

I would expect them to be a bit bigger if they were either of those varieties.

These look a lot like the chocolate ghost peppers I’ve grown the last two years.

It has some similarities to the Ancho. Are there any other peppers near? If you. You might want to glue one flower shut and harvest those seeds to avoid accidentally crossbreeding peppers..
