Orv’s farm market in Williams California has quite the selection. Trying the torchbearer sauces first. Rapture 2.0 had a ton of heat and good flavor, Son of zombie had a sweet flavor with a heat that comes on slowly and lingers, All natural #7 has an odd flavor to me and not a ton of heat but could see it working well with certain dishes. What should I try before I leave? Have a burger and fries on the way and the gentleman replenishing the sauces said to try as many as I want!

For a burger, and sticking with the Torchbearer theme, I’d go with Headless Horseradish or Sweet Onion Habanero. I think I see them there but I’m on mobile.

Honestly I would try a couple of those grenades to see if they are more than a novelty and I would definitely try the Hoff sauce. They’re actually closing up shop soon.

Gringo Bandito are some tasty sauces, especially the green sauce. Not very spicy, at least for my spice level. Made by Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring.

Makes me nostalgic for ~~post~~pre-COVID FireHouse locations…

  5. I definitely didn’t expect to see Sal’s Sassy Sauce in California given that it’s a tiny, hyper-local chain from Rochester NY. It’s not really a “hot sauce” but more of a sweet mustardy citrusy thing. Absolutely incredible on Mac and cheese and fried chicken!

Wow. There are a lot of really good hot sauces there. Good on them for sharing and stocking it

That torchbearer habanero evil would prob be good on a burger

The lack of El Yucateco had me worried until I realized no one had touched any of the 4 General’s HotSauce. Looks like the locals know which have flavor.
