I've been saving up for a Spirit E-310 and this looks like an older model – I say "looks like" because it's only listed as "Weber spirit 3 burner". I haven't asked yet why the right side shelf is detached, but assuming it's fine and having to replace the cooking grates, how does everything else look?

100$ cash would probably take it. Looks to be in decent shape minus the missing side
I’d say go for it. In my area the most commonly worn area is actually the floor of the cabinet due to rust. That one looks great (other than dirt). The grates look pretty good too. You may need to replace the flavorizers/heat tents over the burners but I consider those almost consumables. They’re also pretty cheap if you go third party.
The shelves are attached with 4 nuts. If the seller doesn’t have them you can go to home depot and get replacements in the random nuts and bolts section. They’ll probably run about $5. Take a nut from the other side so you can use their size guide to figure out what size you need.
Considering the price of a new 310/315 is nearly quadruple that, if the major components are all there and functional I’d risk it.
Looks just like mine. That’s the Spirit E-310. Spirit II is the one that doesn’t have a door/cabinet. Definitely find out why the right side shelf isn’t attached. If shelf just needs to be screwed back on, I agree to $100, maybe $125 depending on closer look when I got there. Grate is cast iron, easy to maintain, and solid—no need to consider replacing from what I can see. I’d wash grates well, heat them up then light coat of oil.
I believe consumer reports did a toast test on this one where you lay slices of bread across the entire grate abs look for uneven heat/toasting and result was that heat was distributed fairly well.
I’ve purchased used Weber all over, registered with Weber and some warranty periods were still good if a part was bad here and there.
Good luck! I like this one and no intention of letting mine go any time soon.
I would definitely not pay over $40 for that. You can do much better.
What area do you live in?
No
Honestly, at the very best, maybe 100 bucks depends how the internals are. That’s not in the best shape.
Just go buy a new Weber charcoal and enjoy much better grilled food.
I had this, get ‘em down to $80 and check it all works. Otherwise put money towards new
I just picked one up in the trash in excellent condition. Crazy what people throw out.
I definitely grab it for $100. Grate is definitely looking solid just need some serious cleaning.
If you’re up for a drive from the valley, a person in Rancho Santa Margarita is giving one away. I just saw the listing then saw your post and saw that you’re somewhat nearby.

100 bucks like everyone else is saying would be a solid deal. I’m dealing with overhauling a free nexgrill for my MIL, pain in the A$$
It looks like a good deal. The grates look better than mine. But, mine is used all the time and I just learned that I have been using it with the grates upside down for ten years.
Even if you need to replace the flavorizer bars and gas tubes, the parts can be had for less than $50 on Amazon. I recently replaced one of my grates with a flat top. It was a good move for me.
If the grill needs parts or if the bottom tray is rusted, I would offer less. If the bottom tray has some rust, I would disassemble it, sand and paint it before I started using it. My Weber is on an enclosed porch and it rusted. The wheels are another thing that goes on these. If they don’t use it or move it, they may be in good shape. Mine gets rolled outside and back in a few days per week. My wheels are worn.
I don’t see what people are balking at. That’s actually in pretty great shape compared to most I see posted around me, and even my own grill once between cleanings. Looks like they didn’t use it very much. The rust on the grates can be cleaned and then seasoned/sealed with oil.
$150 is solid for a three burner. I see the owner’s Mercedes in the background so point at the rust, offer him $100, and settle on $125. He’s probably looking to upgrade to a Traeger or something because he has money to spend.
