Dismantled it, scrubbed it, powerwashed it. Added all new aftermarket parts for around $120. And I just ordered the full griddle top. I have 2 pellet smokers and s weber kettle. This will be fun for cheesesteaks, stir fry, breakfast…

Amazing find! So many folks put grills to the curb that just need a few new parts.
The curb provides!

Where did you find a full griddle top for this model? do you have a link or model info you can share please?

My first two big grills were found on the side of the road. The first one was a charcoal on one side, propane on the other type, the second one was a big old stainless steel [Kenmore](https://photos.app.goo.gl/AHcGtnBTbkQPUP8d8) that I just finally had to replace and buy my first big grill. I looked up the serial number though and the thing had lasted 18 years. Pretty good 😊. I still felt a little sad when we took it to the metal recycling place 😔.

if you first drag it to the curb, then it’s trash, and it’s not a crime to take it

When will it be my turn to find a Weber propane grill on the side of the road or trash?!

I’ve had my Genesis since 2001, and I can’t kill it. Every time I see a Weber on the side of the road or as a free ad on FB or something I pick them up. I have 4 right now, and I’ve cleaned up and given 2 other ones away. Treat them right and they’ll last you forever.

If the left side tray was bent i would have thought it was mine

I have this grill (what’s left of it) ! It’s an absolute beauty with the 3 burners front mid and back rather than right center and left. If you put the back burner on low and the front burner on 1/2 and middle off completely you should get a consistent 325. When you put all three on 1/3rd you will get a nice 425o for peameal. Crank the back and front to 1/2, leave middle to 1/3rd and get 475o for wicked steak.

Honestly I had the Genesis and let me tell you it’s the only gas grille I hated …….. used to set shit on fire left and right ………. Sold it for a cheaper charbroil and an Oklahoma Joe Bronco …… no regrets………. But mine certainly was not free …….. can’t knock that one bit

Be careful when you flip open the lid. The lid at the back can crack off. Source – I had one.

Weber is that grill!

I’ve got a Genesis S-330 with a sear burner, a stainless rig running natural gas that I bought new in 2012. I’ve replaced the knob set once, the temp gauge once, the flavor bars, and last year the igniter set. Everything else original including stainless burners. I clean it thoroughly 2-3 times a year and use it year-round. That grill will heat to 800 degrees but hold just under 300 effortlessly. I hardly ever use our oven in the summer cause this thing is so dependable. Very happy with this one. Pondering a griddle Insert for a variation.

Nice find. I have had the exact same grill since 2012/2013. Use it 2 – 3 times per week all year. Added an aftermarket rotisserie. Replaced most of the internal parts late last year and it is going strong. I was going to replace it with a new Weber but the build felt much cheaper than my existing workhorse. So glad I put a little time, effort and couple of hundred dollars into my existing grill. Happy Grilling!
