Mic the Vegan rips into the sketchy new Keto Study.

He has excerpts from many other Doctors and Scientists (including Dr. Gil Carvalho who is very neutral and very rigorous) doing the same.

TLDW: This study was meant to study if Keto LDL increase, increased the progression of arterial plaque.

Then the authors refused to report the primary outcome in the paper.

Some people in the Keto community are running with the study, especially the ever shady keto proponent Nick Norwitz, claiming it shows no connection between LDL and plaque, but this is false.

After being repeatedly asked one of the authors reported a progression number, and it was quite high, then the other author talking to Gil Carvalho, claimed he was NOT allowed to do that as the numbers weren’t ready? But they would be updated soon. After they interview he backtracked and they won’t be updating the study.

Basically a Keto study meant to show Keto did not increase plaque progression shows the opposite, so they try to hide the results, and sketchy Keto community willfully misrepresents lack of reporting, as lack of progression.

Science is so frequently corrupt now, I feel like you have to go back a few decades to get something closer to unbiased. That’s why I think the cohort of McDougall, esselstyn, Campbell, etc, have it right.

So … keto will kill you? I don’t eat crazy amounts of high-fat anything but carbs literally. make me ill, grains, potatoes, sugar, rice etc.
