My lineup of red wines (cépage) for a beginners wine course – left to right:
- pinot noir from France
- Chianti Superiore from Italy (grape: sangiovese)
- merlot from Chili
- shiraz from South Africa
- Rioja from Spain (grape: tempranillo)
- cabernet sauvignon from the USA
- Port wine from Portugal (not cépage of course)
I am from the Netherlands and the average price is $15 per bottle here. Suggestions are welcome!
