(reupload because of lack of flair) I thought this was just a messed up leaf, it was a tomato hornworm. Killed it. First time finding one of these shit stains.

Buy a bird feeder with bird seed. Blue Jays and other birds eat tomato worms.

I may be weird, but I just love these plump little guys. I keep a patch of sacrificial tomatoes just for them (when I find one on a good plant, I move it to the sacrificial patch). Their little back legs are like wee mitten paddles! Anyway, they grow into beautiful moths, and I love them.

  3. My chickens play rugby with these things when I find one

I never kill them. I just cut the branch they are on and relocate them away from my plants. They go away for a bit and return as beautiful hawk moths that help pollinate the rest of my gardens.

He was just trying to find some food in this short and cruel world 😭

  6. You’re beefing with a caterpillar bro lmao. Just plant some marigolds or sacrificial plants. All of nature’s creatures deserve to eat. Besides, they’re only here because we planted tomatoes, never saw one before I started gardening.

try getting mesh bags ! you tie them on the fruit and the mesh allows them to still get sun and have room to grow without having to worry about massive demon spawns like this one 🙂‍↕️

I stick em in my bird feeder tray and watch the blue Jay’s and cardinals fight over em

I hate when people hate on these guys. They turn into beautiful moths!

They get splatted on the concrete, and the birds gobble them up…

They usually don’t much like the cherry tomatoes…
