An elegant French brassiere is now down to one location in the Boston area.
La Voile closed its Brookline location on Saturday, April 26, “after 10 incredible years,” the restaurant wrote in a Facebook post.
“This decision wasn’t easy, but we’re proud of the memories, meals and friendships created along the way — and we couldn’t have done it without you.”
The post did not say why the restaurant closed, but did invite customers to visit La Voile’s other location on Newbury Street in Boston.
“Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your support over the years,” the post read. “You’ve been more than guests — you’ve are family.”
La Voile, meaning “the sail” in French, is an authentic French brasserie specializing in classic French cuisine. In addition to a la carte lunch and dinner menus, La Voile offers a three-course, pre-fixe menu dubbed “Taste of France.”
Eater Boston included La Voile’s Newbury Street location on its 2024 list of “Boston’s Best French Restaurants” and its recent list of “The 15 Most Romantic Restaurants Around Boston.” La Voile opened on Newbury Street in the 2000s while the Brookline restaurant debuted in 2015.
The address for the now-closed La Voile in Brookline was 1627 Beacon St.
