We were given this sausage (Madeo La Salsiccia) by an Italian student with us but I don’t know how to use it, or if it’s cooked. Any suggestions appreciated.

It’s salt cured… slice thin and consume it without cooking.

It’s not cooked, it’s cured, but you don’t need to cook it. Eat it like salami or pepperoni. You can slice it and eat it or put it on a sandwich or chop it up for use in a pasta dish.

It’s charcuterie meat, slice it up and gobble it up

You may know this as Pepperoni, is a spicy salami which tastes as good as it is, but can be cooked as well. Best is on pizza for me

You best eat that raw. Slice it thin (or slightly thick), on a board with cheese and bread.
It’s not best when cooked to be fair.

Slice thin, add to a crostini with some fresh mozzarella, basil and some balsamic.
Enjoy
