Without mentioning a location that’s either a great deal or a horrible deal. it may even be a middle of the road deal.

Unagi, Hemachi (also on bottom right), sake, hotategai, and maguro. Then unagi avocado, and tuna avocado rolls.
burberrycondom
More avocado than fish in those rolls 😭
Primary-Potential-55
It’s a reasonable price.
Somecommentator8008
Too much imo. The nigiri and unagi for the numbers shown should be less than $20 and the rolls even less here in Toronto.
Gray_Fox_22
Ripoff, should be $30 MAX!

thats insane considering the same thing in japan would only be like $10 and vastly superior as well
Gut_Reactions
It looks like 2.5X (quantity) of supermarket sushi trays. The upgrades from supermarket sushi would be the hamachi and what looks like scallop.
HCOL supermarket sushi is around $13 per tray. $13 X 2.5 = $32.50. Premium for hamachi and scallop and that it’s from a restaurant, maybe $20 more. So, OK, I guess.
CI0bro
Too expensive for what you’re getting.
dyl_thethrill
For where I live, that is not a good deal. I can get 14 nigiri, one regular roll, and 1 specialty role with a miso soup and a salad for $45.
612GraffCollector
Way overpriced
benqhdmi90
You got scammed. That’s like $20 max.
hello14214
This would cost around 120$ in my Restaurant.. And we are too cheap at the moment.. Planning to increase prices soon lol
But then again we are in Switzerland where two nigiri cost 12$ and a roll sells for 25$..
koudos
This should be $35 absolute MAX ins the most expensive areas? $15 is the restaurant premium. Quality sushi take out or sushi market should be similar quality for lower price.

d- , the avocado makes it look disgusting
RedLeggedApe
Looks delicious
Intelligent-Chip-413
That picture is the same as 10 plates at a conveyor belt sushi place. $4 a plate isn’t bad, 5 is a little high.
kdjfsk
Looks identical to $20 worth at the Hibachi place in the mall.
WordsAreVeryPowerful
Basically $3 per piece of nigiri and $7 per roll.
If it’s an awesome sushi spot that does omakase quality it’s an exceptional deal.
If it’s a very good sushi shop it’s a fair deal.
If it’s a low tier sushi shop it’s overpriced.
It all depends on the quality of the fish and the craftsmanship of the sushi chef.
My guess based on what I see, it’s overpriced but not by a lot. It looks like it’s from an average sushi shop. Not great but not terrible. Too much avocado in the rolls, tuna looks fairly mediocre from a frozen block. Salmon looks farmed. Ect.
That said, I’d still smash it. I loathe farmed salmon though so would likely pass on that. I love unagi and anago so I’d enjoy the pieces of unagi the most.
grifxdonut
Too expensive. The quality of the onigiri looks good but the rolls have way too much avocado, so I dont think its amazing quality.
sdust182
I’ve learned to accept the price as what it is for what I consider a luxury food item in the States. That said, I wish this was cheaper but it looks great and hopefully was a pleasure to enjoy!
tbhcorn
Too much money
YaoguaiChef
If this is your only sushi restaurant in town then it’s good quality for the price. If you’re in a bigger city where there’s more options than it’s a bit steep I’d say but the market did just get spun around against things that are being imported.
cactus82
Not worth it.
And dang, this is a reminder that sushi is expensive. Compare it to $50 takeout from a non-sushi place. What would you get?
InfiniteOffer9514
I’d maybe pay $30 if there was no other option but $50 is outrageous for what I’m seeing there, at least in my area.
MrNoSouls
You spent $2.083 ( 3 repeats, and USD assumed) per roll. Not great, but not terrible. Years ago I would have said that was bad, but today. Fuck burgers for two people can end up costing the same.
greent67
Proportion of avocado to fish in rolls is super unbalanced. Should be more fish less avocado. But overall looks pretty decent, hope you enjoyed and I think it’s a pretty fair price.
redjellonian
I can get the same thing for like $30 at the grocery store.
AdSignificant6673
$40 CAD in my city gets me a 30 piece sashimi platter. Or $34 CAD for 40 rolls.
Ai Sushi in scarborough if youre in the area.
$50 USD… thats like $70 CAD. This place does assorted 80 pieces sashimi-sushi for $65
AngelLK16
It seemed expensive, but it actually is a good price for the quality.
