Well… at least she’s pretty.

3/10 – I have learned that I’m not a matcha person. Anything with matcha, a drink or a friend made me matcha cookies once, just doesn’t vibe with my tastebuds. I know everyone says it tastes like grass, and I do get that, but it’s also a weirdly tart and sour flavor that I don’t enjoy. So the matcha swirl is not at all something I find appetizing. The strawberry swirl is nice, but it’s almost like eating air. I barely get any strawberry flavor at all, and to top it off, I don’t taste whatever latte flavor they’re referring to. It’s basically an earthy sweet cream ice cream with a whisper of strawberry. LaCroix has more flavor than this.

I went to a matcha place once with a friend and we both got matcha lattes. She loved it, I couldn’t drink more than one sip. I’ll still try matcha stuff if someone offers it to me but I won’t buy matcha anything.

  2. Kid loves matcha but I can’t get over the fresh cut grass taste…

TBF it does look a little freezer burnt so that could have to do with the lack of flavor. Also, a Matcha latte is just a latte of Matcha, no coffee flavor is necessarily implied

You don’t like matcha- did someone give you this or you just decided to take another chance on matcha when you bought it?

I don’t love matcha either- I think I’ll steer clear of this one. I also don’t know a lot about what “good” matcha tastes like vs poorer quality matcha. Hopefully matcha lovers like it though! That’s the most I’ve ever used the word matcha in one sitting lol.

I’m so iffy on matcha. I made a matcha cake for my friend’s birthday with vanilla cream cheese frosting and it was great, but I think that’s the frosting doing the heavy lifting.

Oh my. LA Croix and sparkling water is just bad ju just for me. Matcha is a very acquired taste on the level of olive for me. So I definitely appreciate your review.

Tart and sour (almost metallic) flavors are common in low quality matcha, which is almost exclusively used in cooking.
