Bought at a local international market, aesthetically really enjoyed the can for what thats worth.
Three deens in the can and three chili peppers. The outer two deens were hidden chonkers. Good firmness. No scales to speak of. The real take home was the perfect amount of heat, not overly hot but I am writing this 15 minutes later with a nice sizzle on my tongue.
8/10 would get again. Most of the spicy canned fish I have tried did not have much heat and this one was spot on.
*enjoyed with Sierra Nevada dank little thing IPA

For some reason Titus is the only Sardine brand I mess with hardcore
And this version just makes life easier
Oooh I just tried these last week as well. I got four large fishes and they were quite scaley however the scales were kinda tender and didn’t bother me as much as others have. I found the tin to be not very flavourful as a whole but it did have a nice heat to it. I got it for like $1.99cad and definitely would get again at that price point
I’m just not keen on the soybean oil
Titus and safi (very similar can w/ identical ingredients) are two great budget options I see pretty regularly at international grocery stores.
Idk why I read that as tits
I just done understand why Titus has so much fat in it. It’s like double or triple all other cans
It’s the perfect balance of quality and affordability—I rarely see a can for more than $2. I have (no joke) 20 cans in my stash from finding them on sale for $0.99 apiece.
