A Sherwood Forest Boulevard restaurant building has been sold to a local group that plans on opening a Mediterranean eatery there.

Yoshi Properties LLC of Dublin, Ohio, sold the building at 4353 S. Sherwood Forest Blvd. to Gold Future Property LLC for $700,000 in a deal that was filed last week with the East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s office.

Gold Future’s officers are Aysar Mohammad and Loiy Alsarkhi.

Jimha Abdelkader of NextHome Luxe Realty in New Orleans, who represented the buyers, said the plan is to open a Mediterranean restaurant with a drive-through in the building. They are aiming to open the restaurant in about a month or so, he said.

The 2,000 square foot building sits on an acre of land. It had formerly been home of South of Philly and Baby Dolls Café.

Cade Bogan and Tigue Bonneval of Beau Box Commercial Real Estate represented the sellers.
