This is my grandma’s filipino style pork adobo recipe. Easy to make & extra salty sweet deliciousness- you can make this on a budget, for a huge group, with ease:
Sear the Pork: Brown pork shoulder chunks in a bit of oil until golden.
Make the Sauce: In the same pot, add soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, peppercorns, and water.
Simmer: Return the pork to the pot, cover, and simmer on low for about 1 hour until tender.
Reduce: Remove the lid and simmer uncovered to thicken the sauce.
Serve: Enjoy over rice with sauce spooned on top—don’t forget the extra garlic!

Can you use regular soy sauce or low sodium?
